Inspired by the award wining John Wardle’s Sheering Quarters on Bruny Island Tasmania, this modern country home has been designed and built to accommodate a mature couple, plus their visiting family and friends.

The couple wanted to enjoy living close to family in the Barossa, in a practical – one level, low maintenance design – to suit them now, and into retirement.

Construction materials include western red cedar and galvanised iron on the exterior – with solid oak flooring inside, plus passive heating and cooling – and some Japan Black colored window frames to create a subtle modern look.
